Welp, I got into the whole jewlery making thing.....these are a few pieces I made today for Christmas presents. There is another neclace earring set, but the earrings aren't finished yet, so I'll post a photo of that when the set is complete.

I love making jewlery too. I mostly make earrings, similar to yours. Love making them with crystal & silver. I have earrings to match my pj's these days. lol. If I have an outfit and nothing to match it, I just whip me up a pair of earrings to go with it. It is so much fun to me.

I haven't tackled necklace yet, but thinking I might try - I have made several bracelets.

these would make cute wls bracelets.

I was thinking the same thing! I plan on making me a silver Bracelet with a round charm hanging off it for every 10 pounds I lose! I'm hoping to have 10 little charms on it to represent 100 pounds some day! This way it will always remind me where I can from.

Thats a really great idea! I just started making stuff today so I'm really just experimenting. I ordered some more stuff and when it arrives I'll think about bracelets and such.

Those are ever so nice, Kat. Post more pics when they're done.

I have never liked bracelets very much since I gained weight. I found bangles too difficult to get on and off easily, and I don't like anything elastic around my wrist. I was given a magnetic hematite Bracelet made with "memory wire" and I love it. It's can never be too tight and I can whip it on and off easily. So I bought myself some silver memory wire on eBay and some cafe au lait coloured small pearls and I'm going to make it up. (As soon as I can find where I put my darned wire.)

Thanks guys! This is just my first try at jewlery making. But it's really not that hard at all! I heard about the memory wire, but I haven't tried using it yet. There is a really good website there in the US called Artbeads that has tons of that stuff you can order. Here in Portugal it's harder to get stuff. I've been ordering things from the UK on ebay. When I move back to the states, I'm thinking about starting a little online store or something.

Okay here is the necklace for my mother in law. I'm just waiting on the posts to make the earrings. Then I'll post the complete set. And this is another pair of random earrings I made.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
