johnlatte 1,232 Posted April 23, 2013 There is no set answer here. Everyone is going to have different needs for Vitamins and minerals, just like they do in everyday life. It is going to depend on your body type, you current weight and the eating plan that your nutritionist has worked out for you. Your nutritionist is correct, this is something that is best answered by your Dr. Most Drs. want you to get your nutritional needs without supplements, but that isn't always the case when you are restricted intake wise. So it is possible that you may need more supplements if you are on liquids only, and less if you are on purees and solid foods.

cynthia t 13 Posted April 24, 2013 Clacium citrate 1500 mcg B12 1000 mcg Muli vit w/ Iron 1 tab
LindaS 316 Posted April 24, 2013 I take Celebrate Multivitamin ONE time a day and Iron once a day (most but not all days). I was taking Biotin, but my last two blood tests have shown my Vitamin B levels were much higher than they needed to be, so I stopped taking it at the suggestion of my surgeon. I don't take Calcium because I eat a lot of calcium-enriched foods. When I first had surgery, they recommended I take a Multivitamin twice a day, calcium at least twice a day and Iron twice a day. I never did twice a day. With the sleeve, we don't have problems with malabsorption, so we can get nutrients normally.

karpouzian 94 Posted May 4, 2013 Though YMMV (your mileage may vary), my nutritionist told me 1 Centrum chewable a day, 1 Vitamin B1 (100mg) a day, 1 B12 (500 mcg) a day, 1 Vitamin d3 (1000 iu a day), calcium citrate w/ Vitamin D (1000mg a day/1500 for women), Vitamin C - 250mg a day - note, these need to be chewable, sublingual, or liquid.
