25 pounds in 14 weeks is crazy I am so over this now. Just not ment to be. Soooooooo depressed.

25#s in 14 weeks! thats almost 2#s every week.. it took me a month to lose that 2#s.. I could surely borrow your shoes for a few weeks.. :)

From what (little) I remember of my (three or four, but who's counting) attempts to lose weight through Weight Watchers, consistently losing anything close to 2 pounds a week is amazing progress. There were times in WW that I'd consider leaving my underwire bra home on weigh-in days, just to show a few OUNCES of progress in one week. If I had showed up and lost two pounds week in and week out, those nice ladies would probably woulda slashed my tires out of jealousy! (Hey, low blood sugar makes people cranky, is all I'm sayin'.)

Don't compare your progress to anyone else's, that's a surefire way to get discouraged. Hang in there, you can do this!

2 pounds a week is what my doc said I should be loosing. There is alot of factors what is your BMI? Lower BMI tends to loose slower . Are you drinking entry of Water ? Don't give up you came this far stick with it ..

Girl you started at 176?

You are doing great with so little to lose it not going to be a drastic change in diet and lifestyle as others.

I am 5 months out and at 58 pounds lost and I started at a 40 bmi.

A loss is a loss, could be 25 lbs gained :). Hang in there, I would've been happy with your starting weight

There were times in WW that I'd consider leaving my underwire bra home on weigh-in days, just to show a few OUNCES of progress in one week.

LOL, I used to have really long heavy hair, and I got so desperate to loose any weight at all before my WW weigh in, that I left an hour early and had it cut really short. Every week I would wear the lightest clothes I had, made sure I went to the restroom just before, took everything off I was aloud to take off and pray I had lost at least 0.01. Any loss is a good loss.

For me, the worst was when it was February (in Massachusetts, I tell you, that's no small 'taters) and there I'd be, at a weekly WW weigh-in. The group met in a practically-unheated church hall, and like clockwork every week, I'd be there; wearing a silk short-sleeved top, silk shorts, and wondering if I could sneak off to sling the bra quicklike in the ladies' room before my turn came up at the scale. Freeeeeezing, looking like a damn fool, I'm sure, and ready to weep if the scale had mean things to say. :D

The things I used to try to do to trick that scale...sometimes you just have to laugh at yourself. Who was I fooling? Silly Vix.

I know my starting weight seems low but I had lost some weight before the sleeve but I new I was gonna gain it back. I have weighed well over 200 before. I was so tired of loose, gain, loose, gain. I am only 5'1.

It isn't a race so there is no specific time frame and no huge finish line. It is about health and looking/feeling better. If you are down 25lbs, then I am going to just guess that you probably look and feel better? What is your hurry? There really isn't one. It is something made up in your head. Where will you be in 12 months? 18 months? 2 years? You don't need to give up because there has been no failure.

Hey thats amazing this isnt a race or contest, thats awesome for 14 weeks. We didnt get fat over night hence we wont get skinny over night. Dont give up track your cals, get in the Water and hit the gym or whatever. Giving up is not an option you did not have 85% of your stomach removed to give up! Put yourself up shake it off and get back in the game you can do it!

I think what delta said above holds very true it's not a race! We are going in the right direction,

It's hard I know, I have days where it's a little depressing... But you know what? when I lost before and got to this stage I would get depressed and regain. That's not happening this time!! That's something to smile about right?

I just walked through my den and caught my reflection in the mirror. My jawline is there, my cheeks have hollows, my shoulders are squared, ....but I have been 145-148 pretty much for a month and a half now. I still have 20-30 more lbs to lose and it isn't happening right now. Yes, I have slacked and am not as compliant as before. I don't exercise and I feel some shame. Sometimes I am down and feel like a total failure, even though I've lost about 75 lbs. And it is OK to have those feelings! Feelings are good! So is a long-term commitment. Don't beat yourself up because of what you haven't done. Rejoice and Celebrate what you HAVE accomplished. It is good.

Some people like to call this a journey. That's fine. It's theirs to call whatever they want.

I call it engagement in a process. It is ongoing and necessitates some introspection and reflection. There are a lot of things that need to be addressed. Internal dialogue is one of them, especially if it is mostly negative. Eating emotions is another. Good choices, too. But also how you handle rough spots and personal dissapointments.

You are in good company here. From the outside looking towards others, it may appear that some are hugely successful and a few even seem almost perfect. That really isn't the case. Most all of us have struggles specific to our own process.

Be gentle with yourself. Love yourself. Allow yourself to be imperfect. Don't measure yourself by others. Measure yourself by where you've been and where you are now, as well as by small goals that you establish for yourself that work well for you.
