miss_phobia 0 Posted December 6, 2006 I've been wanting to get this surgery done for half a year, but my family cannot afford the after care. I know it will be a while before I'm able to get the surgery, but I'm still a bit nervous about it...
miss_phobia 0 Posted December 6, 2006 Since I've gone in for my "interview" to see if i was qualified...I've gotten a really bad hit of depression so I've been using food as my comfort....so I've gained like 30 pounds since then...I'm the heaviest I've ever been in my life
juliegeraci 7 Posted December 6, 2006 miss phobia, I wish I could afford to pay for your surgery. I just know how difficult it must be for you. My doctor banded his youngest patient at 16. She is a sweetheart. I wish you the best of luck trying to save the money. It is well worth it. You have many years ahead of you and I wish I had found lapband at least 10 years ago. Good luck. flabuless 18 Posted December 7, 2006 Hi miss phobia... gosh I really feel for you...but don't think of Lap band as a magical cure there are still things to be done, rules to follow...why not start now...without the surgery at this stage...try and make proper food choices, get out and exercise, drink lots of Water so that when/if you can get lapband surgery done ....you are well on the way...besides it will at least start making you feel a bit better...that you are doing something on your own about it. Best Wishes keep us posted.
