struggling to do the right thing .

Recommended Posts

Today is my 5 month and I'm down 68 lbs , which I'm so happy about ,but this last month I have struggled to eat my healthy fooods and not junk . I sadly don't have an intolerance for any foods ... I'm walking 3 miles a day ,but this month the scale isn't moving at all . I'm scaredf because I'm going on a cruise in a week with friends and my hubby and they keep talking about eating and drinking ... I don't want to break the camels back ... I want to be healthy .. ugh ,I guess I just need so?eone to talk to ...

Every cruise ship I have seen has a walking deck and an exercise area. Make sure to keep up on the exercise. Maybe take the stairs instead of the elevator every time. shake your booty on the dance floor. Enjoy the heck out of every opportunity you can move. Have Hubby and Friends come with you on the walks and get some good quality time in with everyone.

You are definitely going to have to watch what you eat but you can always enjoy a few small bites and not eat the entire buffet!

For me personally, i would say that you need to face the fact that you might stall or even gain a couple pounds while on vacation. It would take the willpower of a saint not to gain on vacation. Just get back on the horse when you get back home and start again. It might even give you a renewed sense of strength when you get back.

Good luck and enjoy that cruise!

Good advice. I have a cruise planned for February and ill be out over a year. I'm actually super excited to use the gym on it! I've heard they put the treadmills right up front so it's like your walking/running on the Water. And heck yeah they always seem to have a dance party daily up by the pools, etc. or at the night clubs! I'm super excited to do some excursions and not be over any weight limits! Woo hoo! Have FUN!! Cruises are not always about eating and drinking! They are what you make them. There are so many things to do on the ship or when you stop at the ports. Sightseeing and shopping is fun and great exercise! I'm going to The Bahamas and you can bet ill be swimming too! Enjoy yourself and don't let food hang you up. :)

Plan ahead and think about smart choices from the buffets, measure your food. Most importantly enjoy yourself and don't let the worries over food ruin your vacation. Enjoy!!

Cut yourself some slack. While it's not necessary to completely disregard your eating habits on vacation, it's also not necessary to put a damper on your spirits by worrying about it. Try to make a few good choices here and there, have some drinks if you want them, and don't sweat it if you gain a couple pounds. You'll remedy the situation when you get home and you'll have an awesome time on your cruise. You deserve some fun - go get it! Just don't go hog wild on the food and drink. Have what you want in moderation and you'll be just fine:)

I could use a vacation too!
