So my birthday was a few days after my surgery so I never got to really Celebrate or anything, so I decided to treat myself to a gift. I didn't want to buy clothes just because I know I won't be able to wear it long, so I decided on an awesome pair of shoes. Here they are. I love them.

Ha Ha...true. Mine have gone down about a half size. I put on my dress shoes one day & my heals kept slipping out! Yes, they are nice shoes! It's great that you treated yourself.

WOW , I never ever ever EVER considered my feet would shrink, never crossed my mind.... OOPS!, shoes are the one thing I STILL have been buying "because I will still be able to wear them after I loose weight".... SHHHHHHHHH, don't tell my husband this info.... on to earrings or are my ears going to shrivel up like dried prunes too?

I think the shoe issue is less of an issue for lower BMI folks than higher. My shoe size hasn't changed and I'm nearly at goal. But my calf size has so boots fit nicely now where as before I had to wear them under jeans and not leave them zipped up all the way LOL

I put on a pair of boots I picked up in Italy maybe gad 15 years ago (good gravy it's been that long) and they fit nifty keen just as they did when I was a size 2 so many years ago LOL

..your feet will shrink

butterfly_gal

longgggggggg time ago when i was a little newbie (or should i say big!!!)....... :D

someone made a comment about their shoe sizes getting smaller

i thought, how silly, are you kidding me??????????

boy was i surprised when i realized its true!!!!!

you are a smart "cookie"

treating yourself to lovely boots, shoes instead of clothes you will grow out of!!!!!

now you can go and kick some a_ ssssss

("bad word police" are around and they don't like you to say certain words !!!)

watch out for "them" they are everywhere

in the past you might have rewarded yourself with some goodies (of course that would be pretty silly now!! ;)

hope your recovery is going nicely :)

take care

happy belated b'day :)

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
