ShariM735 189 Posted April 20, 2013 I am hopefully being sleeved in July. I know I have to have a BMI of at least 40. My problem is that following my dietitians instructions, I've lost 20 lbs. and my BMI has gone from 46.9 to 42. I only had to lose 6 lbs. to meet ins. requirements. My dilemma is, will I be denied if I lose more in the next month (my final PCP supervised visit) and my BMI drops below 40? Believe me, I've never had the problem of what if I lose too much before in my life. I have Humana ins. Any thoughts? Sent from my iPhone using VST
Sassygirl06 962 Posted April 20, 2013 No. They go off of the weight you were prior to dieting.

ShariM735 189 Posted April 20, 2013 Thanks everyone. I appreciate the input. I'm so close I don't want to do anything to jeopardize it at this point. Sent from my iPhone using VST
FishingNurse 1,211 Posted April 22, 2013 Yep I agree. You'll be ok if you go below 40, it's off the initial weight. Good job, that's a great start!
