jennbeth 1 Posted April 18, 2013 I had the gastric sleeve done on 4/16, hoping to be able to get more than a 2 ounces of the Protein Shake down.
No game 14,437 Posted April 18, 2013 It's hard in the beginning! The Protein goals are definitely something you have to work up to. go slow and know that in the first days staying hydrated is the most important, so concentrate on your Water intake. Good luck to you
melissav 1 Posted April 18, 2013 I was sleeved on the 15th. Leaving hospital today. Laura is right, focus on the Water. I used the 1oz. Medicine cups to make it easier to sip and measure. This is going to be great! I love this site and its members! 1 Iniysa reacted to this

golfer1204 6 Posted April 19, 2013 I had the gastric sleeve done on 4/16' date=' hoping to be able to get more than a 2 ounces of the Protein shake down.[/quote'] I was on Clear liquids for 4 days when I left the hospital. When I went to full liquid, premier chocolate shakes were my best friend along with Popsicles.

I have been trying to have lots of Water and chicken broth. While in the hospital the surgeons assistant told me to take my shakes as well when I get discharged. I'm a little confused as my shakes are not clear..is this still ok? Of course the doctors office is closed until Monday.

golfer1204 6 Posted April 20, 2013 I agree, follow doctors order. Thin them out with Water or skim milk
