It's hard in the beginning! The Protein goals are definitely something you have to work up to. go slow and know that in the first days staying hydrated is the most important, so concentrate on your Water intake.

I was sleeved on the 15th. Leaving hospital today. Laura is right, focus on the Water. I used the 1oz. Medicine cups to make it easier to sip and measure. This is going to be great! I love this site and its members!

Hi..I was sleeved on the 16th. I have been trying to have lots of Water and chicken broth. While in the hospital the surgeons assistant told me to take my shakes as well when I get discharged. I'm a little confused as my shakes are not clear..is this still ok? Of course the doctors office is closed until Monday.

Your shakes will be fine. If they are too thick make them with Water, instead of milk.
