Howdy y'all! My date is July 1st and I'm BEYOND ready! I was wondering if any of the July Sleevers write blogs? If so' date=' what is your blog called so I can follow you! Mine is http://kjordanjournal.blogspot.com. I just started about a month ago and I absolutely love the therapeutic feeling I get from "putting it all out there!"

I look forward to keeping up with this group and celebrating with you on the looser's bench! Good night!

I started a YouTube blog! Here is the last video I did but the others are there

Hi all....I am a newbie!!! I live in St. Louis, and I started my journey in March......received conditional approval from my insurance co. I have completed the 3 months of a monitored weight loss program from my primary care dr. I have had my psych evaluation, (passed with flying colors!), met with the nutritionist, and met with my surgeon who will perform the sleeve surgery. July 3rd I am scheduled for a scope of my stomach to be done, a pulmonary function test, a Doppler test of discoloration on my legs from diabetes, and some blood work. Doctors office told me after all the results ate in, they submit everything back to the insurance company for final approval. I was told this usually takes about 2 weeks. They told me once they receive the approval I will be scheduled 2 weeks out. So I am hoping for a late July or early August surgery. I am extremely excited!! A little nervous....not really sure why?? I just can't wait to start feeling healthier, and be able to climb a flight of stairs without being out of breath. I just stumbled upon this site while looking up bariatric vitamins.....so glad I found this! I look forward to sharing not only my journey, but all yours as well. Good luck to everyone. Any tips or pointers are welcomed!

First day of liquid diet...July 1st - Dr Kim Colleyville. It took me years to be able to self pay however; I am 7-days away~ I can't wait to be on the "other" side. I have the best support system...my husband and friend are also doing the liquid diet with me to support and help me along the way....Happy Monday all ~

Hi everyone! I’m brand new here. I just went through all my pre-op requirements per my insurance company and now everything has been submitted and I’m just waiting for final approval and my surgery date. I’ve been doing research, watching YouTube videos, TikTok’s, ect.. trying to prepare my mind and what to expect so I’ll be ready for the surgery. I was so sure and so set and so ready and excited. However, now that I’ve done everything & it’s almost here, I am sooooooo scared! I know why I want it bc I’ve tried everything and I just don’t feel like I can lose weight by myself. I’m tired of being overweight my entire life. I’m miserable, but I keep psyching myself out afraid of GERD bc I know how that can be and I don’t want to have to get a bypass after already gaining the courage to even get VSG. I’m scared of complications like I’mgoing to regret doing it and be depressed that I didn’t just be more disciplined and try again to lose the weight on my own even sitting here typing this knowing in my mind i just can’t and don’t possess the discipline. I’m also afraid I won’t be able to handle the restrictions of the sleeve. What do I eat? I don’t know how to eat healthy really and don’t enjoy healthy food. I don’t know how to do this! I feel so defeated!Someone tell me they felt anything similar to this or am I not ready? I thought I was. I am so tired of being sick and tired and so tired of myself and so tired of being stuck and stuck in this body and somebody different on the outside from what I feel inside. I just want to ball up and cry.

Had a sleeve in 2017, lost over 100 pounds. Had a DS surgery this year (2025) for more sustainable weight loss. 🤞

The 14th was my day. I am home and recovery is going pretty smooth. They even let me walk out of the hospital. Picture of me in recovery curtesy of my boyfriend lol.

Neat you have a pic of this day! I was sooo happy to get my surgery. It was well worth it! And I'm not even near my goal. I had surgery Dec. 2!
