I was released on all foods at 4 weeks - though this doesn't seem to be the "norm" if you read here on the boards, but I've been completely fine. I had my first salad between 7-8 weeks out with no problems. I chewed really good and it went down just fine. But I did get full fast! Only about 4 bites and done!

I also have had the grilled snack wraps from McDonalds with no issues. I can only eat about half at a time though because they are filling.

I don't eat any breads and rarely wraps. 1) I find them difficult to get in and 2) they take up the room I need to get my Protein in.

Salads I'll eat on occasion (I'm 5 months out and only started abou 2 weeks ago because I save my room for the Protein. If I eat 3 oz. of chicken, I don't have room for more than a forkful of veggies.

I wouldn't and I'm 7 months out. Still can't tolerate many raw veggies or wraps... I do well with Wendy's chili. A lot of Protein little carbs and cheap!

I started eating lettuce at about 5 weeks and other veggies at 6 weeks and have done fine, but I usually eat them as a snack bc I don't have much room for them once I eat my Protein. I would be more worried about the wrap than the stuff inside--at first, you should only try thinly sliced very well-toasted bread, but I don't even do this bc it's empty carbs and calories. I have hear of people vomiting from eating wraps for the first few months.

I'll be 6wks out tomorrow. :-) I tried a half cup of iceberg lettuce with french dressing on it approx 1 wk ago & it went down just fine...no issues at all. My fav is Wendy's small ceasar salad with pomgranate (spelling??) dressing. I can eat the entire thing! The dressing is sweet & satisfying to me. I also enjoy the grilled leg from KFC with a side of small mashed potatoes & I KEEP THE SKIN ON! Haha...my nut said to take skin off all chicken & I though "No, I'm gonna try this & it's not gonna make me gain. I know it." & I was right. I had no issue at all with the skin. Let's see, I like Taco bell crunchy tacos also. They go down great. Inbox me if I can be of any help

A lot of people like Wendy's chili (I don't eat it bc I'm a vegetarian) or a side of refried Beans from Taco Bell. You can also get salad with a side of black beans (Taco Bell, Chipotle). Better if you can plan ahead to avoid fast food but those are some good options.

I recently had a crunchy taco from taco bell with no issues. I was full after one - though I had it as a 'treat'

because it isn't the most healthy of choices but they do offer the fresca menu there which saves on calories, etc. I have also have had chicken tenders from Popeye's - I can only eat one chicken tender and that's enough to fill me up. I just save the rest for later.

Though eating fast food is not for everyone, I PERSONALLY believe in all things in moderation and have still had steady loss/success! :)

Hi, I’m new here. I’m currently on the liver shrinking diet. So far so good, but I have to say I haven’t found a protein shake I like. Anyone have any suggestions please? My surgery date is September 17th.

Fairlife Core are by far the best. They taste just as they are - chocolate milk. You can either get the 26 grams or the 42 grams (harder to find and more expensive). For straight protein look at Bulksuppliments.com ..they have really good whey proteins and offer auto ship plus they test for purity. No taste or smell...

Fairlife has strawberry, vanilla and of course chocolate. No more calories than other protein drinks. Stay away from Premiere, they're dealing with lawsuits due to not being honest about protein content.
