Houston17 115 Posted April 16, 2013 Hey guys, had surger on 4/10. Had trouble getting liquids in and throwing up. I was feeling very weak. Went to the ER on Sunday and they admitted me and I was just released today. Got some IVs in me. Still have trouble with throwing up some. Medicine never helped with that. The medicine always comes back up. I have found that warm tea helps to settle my stomach. I can't progress to the full liquids yet. Oh well, at least I am feeling somewhat better. I just want to make sure the throwing up stops!

abridgie 73 Posted April 16, 2013 I found in the beginning warm liquids went down easier. I'm 4 months out and still takes longer to get cold liquids down. For some reason warm is easy 1 Houston17 reacted to this

You might want to get some powders?utm_source=BariatricPal&utm_medium=Affiliate&utm_campaign=CommentLink" target="_ad" data-id="1" >unjury chicken Soup to get some Protein in for when you are ok to proceed. Also, I used to add heated milk to my chocolate Protein shake and drink it like hot cocoa, it went down much easier and I got about 35 grams of Protein in an 8oz. cup. Best of luck to you!! feel better. 2 Houston17 and Sadtosaygoodbye reacted to this
