msjazzyldy 49 Posted April 16, 2013 I was sleeved with Dr. Garcia on 4/11 and had a great experience. I DO NOT promote ANY coordinators/doctors but I just want to let others know about my experience and that they will be in good hands. I HIGHLY recommend same day surgery to get it over with and I stayed at the hotel for two nights only and I am so glad I did! Dr. Garcia and his team are phenomenal...Any other questions please feel free to ask 10 rollargirl, LisaLoseAlotx2, gibson_girl and 7 others reacted to this

azheavensent 11 Posted April 17, 2013 I was sleeved by dr garcia Friday while I only saw him just before surgery his team and coordinators are amazing. nurses were great at florence and Dr Luna was post op doc he visited twice a day then took out staples in the hotel. Alma scheduled my surgery and patiently answered all my questions. Melissa takes care of the hospital stuff and checked on me several times. Rosie called as soon as I got to the hotel and everyday to see how I was feeling and if I needed anything. I leave in the morning back home have enjoyed the marriott though I wish I would have brought someone with me or just stayed two days(bored) so far im pleased with my experience. 2 MamaC and LisaLoseAlotx2 reacted to this

Shrinking_Lola 54 Posted April 19, 2013 I'm being sleeved April 26th by Dr. Garcia, I'm going by myself because my husband gets to stay home with our girls. I read one reply that someone went by their self. What did you do with your valuables and I.D. and things while you were in surgery?? I'm so nervous about everything. I am really glad to hear that everyone has had a pleasant experience with Ready4Achange and Dr. Garcia!! That alone eases my mind some :-)

They cut it open in front of you and wait for you to check that all your things are in there. I went alone. Hubby stayed home with the little ones too. Good luck to you! 2 MamaC and LisaLoseAlotx2 reacted to this

azheavensent 11 Posted April 20, 2013 Melissa took care of my things while I was doing testing before surgery, everything was in my hospital room when I came in. I did not request anything to be locked in the safe I brought a wheeled carry on suitcase and a little messenger bag, all I did is put my id/passport/cash inside my suitcase with a lock, nothing was messed with at all. 2 latina1974 and MamaC reacted to this
cindysc 108 Posted April 20, 2013 Melissa held onto my purse while I was in surgery. That's where my valuables were. She actually had it typed shut and cut it open on front of me. Ready 4 a Change, Florence Hospital staff and Team Garcia were fantastic. You will be in good hands from the time you get to San Diego. Don't worry !!!! 3 MamaC, pantala and LisaLoseAlotx2 reacted to this

1hotmama*77 13 Posted April 21, 2013 If I was going alone, I would be leaving my jewellery at home. I have seen it advised to leave them at home just like you would if you were having surgery in your home city.
Johnatwi 23 Posted April 21, 2013 I actually left my iPhone and iPad out in the open in my room during surgery and after when I would walk the halls. I didn't have any problems.
