I do 2 weeks of Optifast Pre surg. 4- 8 oz shakes, i Soup and One Bar. Also allowed 3 sf Jello and 3 sf Popsicles per day.

I'm not hungry on it but of course I want real food. Just not as bad as I want an uncomplicated surgery--so I am sticking to it.

I get three-four shakes a day and a lean cuisine-type meal, trying to keep total calorie count below 870. It's not so bad (but so glad I just have 4 more days!)

Just beware: liquid in = liquid out ????

Anyone doing New Direction for their preop diet? My surgeon doesn't give us a choice.

The 14th was my day. I am home and recovery is going pretty smooth. They even let me walk out of the hospital. Picture of me in recovery curtesy of my boyfriend lol.

Neat you have a pic of this day! I was sooo happy to get my surgery. It was well worth it! And I'm not even near my goal. I had surgery Dec. 2!
