Belly buttons definitely do change during your weight loss journey. Just wanted to share mine in pictures.

Your post made me smile, but it is good information, I have always been curious what would happen to the black hole lol. I remember when I did my OR rotation for school the nurse telling me that everyone neglects their belly button (as she pulled a pound of fuzz out of the patients belly button) It made me very self conscious, and I keep my belly button very clean, and I plan on giving it a good 5m washing pre op lol.

Yep people I am here to say some people neglect to clean the lint out of their belly buttons! You cannot imagine how hard it is to clean some of them. I had one patient that I ended up using a lot of q-tips and peroxide only to pull out a huge glob of lint! Yuck! At least I assume it was lint!

When I get my TT done I'm gonna ask for them not to make me one so I can freak people out in a bathing suit lol. I have a tattoo above mine now...will probably end up on my pubic bone lol :D

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
