RWHIT43 9 Posted April 14, 2013 Anyone else having anxiety to the whole sex issue? For example I can't wait to start slimming down and start having more of it! I get nervous about issues after and how soon i can but the doctor said its all on how I feel. I know it may seem shallow but I like sex. It was a part of my life before I gained all this weight and i am hoping it can be part of it more often again. It was always hard to do whenI got larger and I could not be nearly as adventurous. It caused issues in my relationship. My biggest worry is that the self esteem issues will still make me shy in that department. Sorry just had to vent it out there. Hoping for a spicier after. 2 ProudGrammy and Tink22-sleeve reacted to this

Tink22-sleeve 528 Posted April 14, 2013 imo, sex does certainly get better after loosing weight. Im sure that is due to increase in self-confidence, and a decrease in inhibitions. However, a caveat. if there were real sex issues prior to the surgery, it is not unreasonable to assume that they will carry over to the post op period as well. Sometimes its not all about weight. Therapy may help in those cases. 2 TerryBelieves and tpietrowski reacted to this

rebecca_dsu 241 Posted April 15, 2013 I'm so with you. It's frustrating not being able to do certain positions because of all this extra fat going on. And I feel like I'm crushing my husband in any me on top positions (he's 135lbs...) So yeah girl, I get ya, and I don't think we'll be disappointed in this department once we are at goal. Now I do know, some people say the lose skin makes them super self conscious, but still it beats the heck out of crushing a partner..haha!
lilbearzmom 584 Posted April 15, 2013 I have to say it's much more "comfortable" and the other poster is right- you aren't relegated to only one "position" without the extra girth.
SerendipityHappens 1,594 Posted April 15, 2013 I'm actually having some "hang ups" about my body as I'm losing.. I've always been comfortable in my own skin.. I'm not what you would call a "lights off" kind of girl and NEVER have felt uncomfortable with my partner seeing my nekkidness. I was FINE with the fat from an aesthetic point of view... But saggy wrinkly belly and thighs and deflated breastcicles I am having issue with and I'm starting to want the lights dimmed or off.. ANYWAY nothing a thigh lift, arm lift, panneculectomy, Tummy Tuck, buttock lift, and breast lift can't cure, right?
