butterflydreamer 2 Posted April 14, 2013 On the Utube videos Dr Alejandero Lopez posted videos last oct for Ready4Achange and currently for Alighterme. The hospital looks the same as well. My surgery is the 19th and after reading 2 poor experiences last week, I need more info. This makes me very nervous, I don't care for an upgrade due to overbooking nor do I care to be discharged without my drains taken out.
gettinsleeved 39 Posted April 14, 2013 The doctor removes the drain after discharge at the hotel. This is how Dr. Lopez and Ortiz do it for EVERYONE. Dr. Lopez and Garcia where with Ready4Achange prior to this year, now Garcia is with Ready4achange and Lopez is with Aligherme. Hope this helps. 1 karen12345 reacted to this

Johnatwi 23 Posted April 14, 2013 I went through Ready 4 a Change with Dr. Garcia at Florence Hospital. Drain was removed before leaving hospital.
fletcherette 203 Posted April 15, 2013 From what I understand from old posts r4ac came first and ALM was created by ex R4AC employees. (Someone correct me if I'm wrong please) Do a board search there's old posts about how the two are connected
gettinsleeved 39 Posted April 15, 2013 from what I understood they leave the drain in longer because it decreases the risk of infection from all the Fluid around the stomach after surgery, the longer the drain stays in the lower the risk of infection... believe me I would have prefered the drain out sooner but I understand the logic. I actually think that Lopez and Ortiz leave the drain in the longest of the doc's down there just based on what I've heard... it is uncomfortable but to me was worth it. 1 karen12345 reacted to this
Michele in NY 13 Posted April 19, 2013 Is Ready4Achange and Alighterme the same company? No. A Lighter Me has been in business in TJ for over 10 years. Ready 4 A Chance was started by employees who used to work for A Lighter Me. Ready 4 a Change used to do most of their business out of Monterrey, but have branched out and are offering more locations now.
