Vidalia 122 Posted April 14, 2013 "Thanks for playing ball with us Mom. I can't ever remember you playing with us before." Those words were music to my ears after I decided to get out in the back yard with my two sons and husband for a game of wiffle ball. I hit the ball, ran the bases and caught my husband's fly ball. We all laughed and had a great time. Five months ago I would have been listening to that laughter from inside the house. By the way, the son that said those words is 13 years old! I am so glad I still have time to make some new and better memories with my kids. This surgery is the best decision for myself and my family that I have ever made. If you have not had it yet, you won't be sorry! It changes your life for the better. 17 Lori228, Jorge, prnces228 and 14 others reacted to this

ProudGrammy 8,322 Posted April 14, 2013 "Thanks for playing ball with us Mom. Vidalia from the mouths of babes one of the most common reasons people say about having WLS, is they want to be around for their kids, grand-kids, family et al you are obviously raising a "cool" kiddo oh oh, you are gonna continue to "enjoy' the teen years congrats on your weight loss keep up the good work 2 Tink22-sleeve and Vidalia reacted to this
melodymouse 196 Posted April 14, 2013 So wonderful! It is a great feeling to have your child see you in a new light. The first time my 21 year old son called me "skinny" I thought I'd burst into tears with joy. Last week he grabbed my skinny jeans thinking they were his. I have been fat/obese most of his life. It was truly one off the best decisions of my life!! 2 Vidalia and ProudGrammy reacted to this
Tink22-sleeve 528 Posted April 14, 2013 Great NSVs!! Good for you all! My very quiet, rather morose, 19 y.o. son told me other day that I looked nice and that he could really tell a difference. High praise coming from him. 2 Vidalia and TES reacted to this
