sanpanjs 0 Posted April 14, 2013 I am 53 year old male and have had both knees replaced so I have experienced that pain and a kidney stone. I am wondering about the pain after the sleeve. I am in my second week of pre o diet and have lost a total of 40 pounds. 20 on the diet and 20 prior to the diet. I want to be successful with this lifestyle change and I am sure I will. However the recovery time without lifting and all the stuff to learn seems a little overwhelming. For some reason post op pain has me a little worried. Can anyone tell me their experience? Thanks. vsginnj 415 Posted April 14, 2013 47 year old male. All tuff guy stuff aside, scale of 1-10 worst was about a 4 that was resolved to a zero ( sleep) with a dilaudid ! This is easy compared to knees. 1 sanpanjs reacted to this

notime 340 Posted April 14, 2013 When I came out of anesthesia in the recovery room, the pain was intense. My first word was "pain" and I remember nothing after that. The recovery room personnel were right there with whatever they use to take away the pain. In short, it was less than 30 seconds of pain. The only other pain I had was when I used my abdominal muscles in the course of living, e.g. getting into or out of bed or bending over. And I really wouldn't even call that pain, more like a 3 on the discomfort scale. That only lasted about one and a half weeks.
