I have had a month of nausea, but knew it was getting back on my victoza. It is a morning sickness or car sick feeling. As that was subsiding I started a little different sort of nausea with intermittent vomiting. It started around week six and was not eating related, mostly. Only once did I throw up after eating. My doc called me in some zofran tablets (non sublingual). A day or two before that I didn't eat the entire day because of the extreme queasiness. I finally nibbled on something and it got better. I ended up pigging out as much as we can! I felt better than ever! Soooo, here's what I figured out... The queasiness now us made better by eating! I am too queasy in the morning to even think about eating. I wake an hour or so earlier to take a zofran and lay back down and eat when I get back up and feel better all day. I said all that to say this... Think it could just be hunger that's causing the nausea? I've seen tons of posts about people getting nausea and/or vomiting about this far out. I hope it's temporary! I don't wanna have to take zofran just to eat! I have lost myself with my ramble, hope someone understand this! Just really frustrated

Are you getting enough Water?

I seem to drink all the time! I have to admit, when I am queasy I only take small sips. Would not getting enough Water cause vomiting? I get close to 64 if not more... I don't measure, but think dehydration isn't an issue. I had a UA the other day and one indicator for dehydration was normal, but that's not definitive

Yes dehydration can cause vomiting.

Idk, I wake up in the morning and feel kinda nauseated too. Water hurts my tummy that early also. My dr wants me to eat within an hour of waking. Breakfast was sooo hard for me to eat pre surgery and just as hard now but I do it. I end up feeling better after I choke down something. So maybe it is in fact hunger related. I feel fine the rest of the day, just mornings I feel kind of gross.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
