Lala12 3 Posted April 12, 2013 So I'm almost a month post op but as of two days ago my stomach has been very upset.. It's not a pain feelings, it's more a heavy feeling on my pouch like I just wanna throw up. I still barely eat so I know it's not bc I've eaten to fast or to much... But I do drink Water so so much, think it's possible I drank to much for my pouch and it's still upset???
diven14 12 Posted April 12, 2013 Wow that's so weird I too am feeling very suck to my stomach the way you described. I was sleeved 3/18. And the last two days have been very rough, I feel like any Water is making it worse, but I know I have to drink it but don't want to. Am also on medication since hospital for nausea, but today at my desk I want to go get sick but don't want everyone to hear:(
Lala12 3 Posted April 12, 2013 Yeah, I was sleeved the 19th! I called my doctor and they aren't to concerned bc it doesn't hurt when it goes down just feels weird once it's down, they told me to just try warm liquids today! So try that? I am going to and to not worry about eating or getting Protein but they stressed chicken broth to get sodium, I hope this passes for us !
Tink22-sleeve 528 Posted April 12, 2013 I am 3 1/2 mos postop. I still have trouble with Water. It feels heavy or something. I have better luck with cold crystal light lemonade or warm tea (not too hot).

Out of surgery I had a very hard time keeping anything down and was always nauseas. Some people do get there hunger back right away... Just make sure you're not over eating and also make sure you're not confusing it with head hunger!

I'm 3 weeks post op and I've already lost 35 lbs "/ .. It's definitely taken a toll on me... But yes, it might be head hunger bc you're so used to eating... Just be strong and instead of taking little bites of stuff make a healthy meal that you'll feel good about! It takes time and in reality this is just a tool so make smart choices!! Keep your head up lovely !!
melodymouse 196 Posted April 12, 2013 Sorry you're struggling. Remember your new stomach is just like starting over as an infant. They can't tolerate more solid foods immediately either. It is a full time job at first, you are putting something in your mouth every 15 minutes. Try going back a food stage and see if that settles your stomach. You can also try a different brand of Protein. I used nectar for the first 4 months because it was so much easier to digest. As for exercise, it is really important to stay active, as that helps trigger the process to move things out of your stomach. When the weather was bad, I would walk laps downstairs. My cat would attack my ankles because he got so annoyed. (Haha!) I am 14 months out and have lost 122 lbs. so don't give up. Just keep trying different things til you find what works for you! erica hall 19 Posted April 12, 2013 I'm one month post op and its still hard to do everything: Water, Vitamins, food, exercise. I think I'm still afraid of eating too much and am probably not eating enough. I'm down 25 lbs. I've only been walking waiting for green light to do more.
