How much weight have you lost with sleeve?

Recommended Posts

After weighing my options the sleeve or the band.....I'm going with the sleeve!!! Now I'm starting to get a lil nervous and excited. But I'm curious how much weight has everyone lost with the sleeve and how long did it take? I can't wait to get into shape and fulfill a lifelong goal of finishing a 5k race! This has always been my dream and I tried training last year but my weight really hurt my knees. So maybe within 2 years post op this dream with come dream :)

A month out and stuck at a 20 lb loss so far. It's the dreaded stall. But I'm happy with the 20 lbs and I know the scale will move again any day now.

I am just over 5 months out and down 82 pounds. I still have quite a bit to go but am very happy with my progress to date and my only regret is that I didn't have the sleeve done sooner. Good luck to you.

Any recommendations... Been stalled for 2 weeks. I'm 1 month post op and that scale doesn't seem to move. I drink 64+ oz. of Water and I drink enough Protein. I walk all the time and has me thinking, when will this stall end?

I'm approx. 11 months post-op and I've lost 134 lbs (50 lbs to go). I am deliriously happy with my new life and looking forward to things getting even better.

I haven't been this weight since I was 17 (I'm 43 now). I'm getting back to all the athletics I loved as a teenager, and now that I'm doing those sports and activities again, it makes me FEEL like a teenager!

The sleeve was the best decision of my life and I wish I could have had it done 20 years ago.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
