Kelly_Girl19 5 Posted April 12, 2013 I'm so nervous about how to deal with caring for my son. He is 23lbs. I can't lift him for a month. How will I manage when my husband is at work
Ms.AntiBand 2,984 Posted April 12, 2013 The first couple weeks are the most critical. You need to avoid lifting him. My dr showed me how I can lift a 23 pounder once my two weeks were up. Be sitting and put him on you lap nd then get up. You should be fine I don't have any suggestions for your first two weeks. I had to avoid being around my grandson because I kept forgetting and just naturally picked him up and someone had to remind me not to. It's hard. If you can afford it maybe hire some one to babysit at your house or maybe 10 days in a day care? Good luck
georgiapeach 2 Posted April 12, 2013 I'm in the same situation. It makes me nervous. Especially thinking about getting up and down the stairs. We can do this!!
Melissa1234 69 Posted April 12, 2013 I would say your best bet is to get some help for that time, maybe a relative or friend, or a nanny or daycare? You'll work something out and all will be fine
Ms.AntiBand 2,984 Posted April 12, 2013 I didn't worry about carrying the weight.. Just the lifting. I took the baby.. Well, 1 year old in the pack without a problem.
Kelly_Girl19 5 Posted April 12, 2013 My son will be in school during the day, it's the lifting that will be the problem. Ill figure out some things. I'm creative
