jennybittyboo 23 Posted April 11, 2013 Wow, that's awesome! I hope I am that active after surgery. When it comes to pain I am a big wimp! I am hoping to have everything submitted to insurance the 1st week of May. Keep up the great work Butterfly.
Butterfly66 63 Posted April 11, 2013 Thanks! Good luck to you as well. Does your surgeon require you to do a 1 - 2 week liquid diet prior to surgery? If so, I would use that as my way to lose the 15 pounds then when insurance approves, you will already have the liquid diet done. That's what I did and once approved, I got scheduled three days later.
jennybittyboo 23 Posted April 11, 2013 @rebecca thank you so much!! I read your post and instantly got up to fill my water bottle up! I am definitely going to try this out. Hopefully I see a difference by the end of next week. 1 rebecca_dsu reacted to this
jennybittyboo 23 Posted April 11, 2013 No, my surgeon requires a 1 day liquid diet. I think I am going to do 2 instead of 1 though. It's weird that each surgeon requires something different.
Butterfly66 63 Posted April 11, 2013 The interesting thing about increasing Water intake...the more you drink, the more you want! I like to add a packet of raspberry crystal lite to my water on occasion to switch things up! Best of luck.
Butterfly66 63 Posted April 11, 2013 That is weird. My surgeon said the 2 week liquid diet was to shrink the liver to allow easier access to the stomach. Good luck with the weight loss and am looking forward to hearing great things after your surgery. Best advice, get up and walk as soon as possible. It will really help with the gas pressure in your back.
