If you are throwing up, it's either because you are eating to much, eating to fast, or you do not tolerate the food you are eating. Slow down, eat less, and avoid foods that make you sick.

I'm almost 6 weeks post op and have yet to throw up. I definitely do not eat a lot of food, and to be honest, I'm a little scared to try certain foods (like chicken breast; I'm sticking to shredded chicken). I agree with the above post. Measure and eat slowly!!

I agree with the others I am 9 weeks out and found I have to eat slow and avoid many foods I ate before surgery. Make sure your doctor knows he may want you to have an endoscopy.

I never had a problem throwing up. My doctor had me on anti-nausea medication for the first couple of weeks, so I don't know if that made a difference, but I never had that problem.

Yep, I've thrown up a couple of times as I'm still learning to eat slow and if I don't focus on eating, I forget and eat too fast. I also take papaya enzyme to help with digestion when I feel discomfort or like I'm ready to vomit and it helps.

I've only thrown up about 4 times in 6 months. It's usually the texture of the food or eating too fast, or too big a bite. I found it actually hard to vomit, the stomach doesn't constrict like it used to, post-op, to help push the food up and out (gross, sorry!). At Easter Brunch I ate one bite of eggs Bennedict (never had it before). It wouldn't go down my stomach. (I think it was the English muffin-I haven't had bread yet). I had to literally run across this huge ballroom to get to the ladies room as the food came up on its own (horrible)! (After that, I was afraid to eat solid food again so I had cheesecake for my meal.) That was an expensive Brunch, I can say that!

Hi, I’m new here. I’m currently on the liver shrinking diet. So far so good, but I have to say I haven’t found a protein shake I like. Anyone have any suggestions please? My surgery date is September 17th.

Fairlife Core are by far the best. They taste just as they are - chocolate milk. You can either get the 26 grams or the 42 grams (harder to find and more expensive). For straight protein look at Bulksuppliments.com ..they have really good whey proteins and offer auto ship plus they test for purity. No taste or smell...

Fairlife has strawberry, vanilla and of course chocolate. No more calories than other protein drinks. Stay away from Premiere, they're dealing with lawsuits due to not being honest about protein content.
