Angeleyes 1 Posted July 21, 2004 I have been looking at Hospitals in Mexico. I am about 50 pounds over weight and I understand they do the Surgery with a low BMI there. I will need to pay cash for my Surgery. I have struggled most of my life to not gain anymore weight that I have. To most of you it may seem like I don't weight enough but it have really effected my self esteem. Have any of you had any experience with a Surgery in Mexico or had the Surgery and have a low BMI? La_madam 20 Posted July 21, 2004 Hi Angel I had a BMI of 42 which is high for my height I was a self pay in Mexico. It cost me 8995.00 For everything. It has been the best money spent on myself ever. I love my band! There are several experienced doctors in Tiajuana Mexico Dr. Kuri....Dr. Ortiz..to name a couple of them. Both are very reputible. They were both trained by Inamed. Several women here also went to Mexico to have their surgery so I'm sure you will get many responses to your post. Good Luck your search and with your decision on surgeons.
