I just had a rant and I want to counter it with some positivity. I know a lot of ppl were sleeved fairly recently and I've seen a lot of new "stalls" threads pop up. I'm avoiding my scale so I'd like to focus on some NSV's to help boost morale.

Previously tight clothes are now comfy.

Some pants that didn't fit now fit snugly.

Bittersweet: bras fitting better around, but alas, looser in the cup.

Saw my dad on Easter and then a week later and he was impressed with the "obvious" weight loss in a week.

Hubby says clothes fitting me different and he loves "the girls" even tho they're shrinking.

I was sleeved yesterday. Sore. Tender. Happy! I lost 19lbs preop! Overall my experience here has been great.

I am enjoying the pre-op pants that were a little snug are loose! I'm avoiding the scale and trying to keep weighing in to once a week.

Since I'm less than two weeks post-op, my most recent thrill was being able to comfortably sleep on my tummy again. :)

I'm traveling and I don't need a seatbelt extender!

I'm with wlq. We took a trip to Arizona for spring break and for the first time in years I didn't need to get a seat belt extender for the plane. I made sure to point it out to my family!

The pants that I took for travel to Mx preop were previously snug. Now they are loose.

Idk if this is a NSV or a reason for shame/embarrassment but I've since discovered spots on my legs that have not seen a razor in some time...

Yes! Great thread!!!! I'm only a week out, and things are still fitting very snug around my tummy from gas/swelling, but my shirts & dresses are huge on me! Looking forward to wearing clothes I've not been able to for years!

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
