BPN80 3 Posted April 9, 2013 I was sleeved on 1/31/13, I've gone from 288 to 234. Around 3 weeks ago, when I hit 235, I had some concern. Anytime I've tried to diet in the past, this is about the weight I've hit that plateau before falling off and regaining all my weight back. Are these long stalls normal? Threetimesacharm 1,400 Posted April 9, 2013 Yes it is normal. shake up your caloric intake; higher a day, then lower a day or two. This worked for me. 1 BuriedBombshell reacted to this
diannepj1960 28 Posted April 9, 2013 Yes i was sleeved Jan, 24,i had a stalled also i was told to increase my intake,so i set my timer to eat every two hours,i eat even when i'm not hungry, because i can only eat a few spoons anyway, and it work the scale start moving again, and also i stop exercising on my treadmill for two weeks and the scale really started moving,i know it;s crazy:),i will start back again, just watching my body now,to see what it is doing..also you could be losing inches that will not show on the scale..because when i was on a stall i kept getting smaller so it was inches..so hang in there and don't give up you will start losing again..and eat, eat, because eating is the key... MichiganChic 3,262 Posted April 9, 2013 I think it's normal to "stall" as they call it here. We absorb every calorie we eat, and bodies can only lose so fast, so it happens. I'm finding a pattern of minimal or no loss for 2-3 weeks (during which time I bounce a couple of pounds) then I'll have a few days where I lose some every day for 3-4 days, then the cycle starts all over again. In my opinion, there isn't much we can do about a stall - as long as you are doing everything right. No grazing, not over eating, etc. If you aren't following the guidelines, then I would suggest you take a look at that. I also always get "stuck" on a previous weight I've been stuck at before. I can just expect it, and I know where those sticking points along the way are. Time is the answer to our problems on this one. You have lost a lot in a short time, your body needs some time to adjust.
