schonvampyress 4 Posted April 7, 2013 I'm 3 and half months post op and I have noticed that my hair has been falling out more then normal. All my Vitamin levels are good. Is anyone else experiencing this and if so is there anything that can help?
carstanger 346 Posted April 7, 2013 Got Biotin from my doctor's office. Said it will take over a month to notice a difference. Due to shock to system!
ISleevedIt 380 Posted April 7, 2013 It's normal...just the shock your body is going through. I've been taking Biotin that is suppose to help with hair and nails, but I'm still losing it by the handful. As long as we don't go bald, we'll be okay. It will grow back. schonvampyress 4 Posted April 7, 2013 I have been taking Biotin. My doctor prescribed me some medicine called spironolactone, but I'm hesitant to take it because it is for people with congestive heart failure and kidney problems. I was trying to look into more natural things. My hair has been falling out in handfuls to. I don't even like wearing my hair down because of how much I'm losing. Hopefully it stabilizes soon I really don't want to be bald.
COnative 192 Posted April 7, 2013 I started losing my hair at month 3 and didn't stop until month 5. I didn't find anything that helped- I just felt lucky that I had really thick hair. I've been told it will grow back. I sure hope so. Sorry I can't offer help just wanted to share my experience. There is also a good website that offers explanation and maybe perhaps help. Here it is: http://www.slhn.org/docs/pdf/bariatric_surgery_and_hair_loss.designed.pdf 1 Tink22-sleeve reacted to this
