missyjoy2078 381 Posted April 7, 2013 Back when I was "thin" like size 12 I was able to rock heels. Now at size 18 they seem like torture devices. nyone notice the can rock heels post op?
Susmcmur 124 Posted April 7, 2013 Oh yeah! Size 22W/24W to size 10/12 and wearing the super tall wedges, heels and platforms. Cross addiction is a fear because I am loving shopping WAY too much! At first it was all thrift stores and consignment shops, but I really have blown in out as all the gorgeous spring stuff is out. I'm 54 and wearing cute, body conscious clothes and shoes for really the first time in my life. Compliments every day; it's awesome! 5 SCS, Ms skinniness, gagirl0583 and 2 others reacted to this

erp 2,016 Posted April 7, 2013 Rocking heels again was one of my first NSVs. At 254lbs, I could only wear them for a hour at most. Now I wear them all day. I only hope that as lose more weight my feet become easier to fit. Right now I wear a wide width so it is hard to find cute styles.

Susmcmur 124 Posted April 7, 2013 Oh yeah, the other thing I forgot to say is that my shoe size has gone down a half size to a size and a half in some brands. Was a 9.5-10 and now an 8.5-9. Awww, have to buy new shoes!!
missyjoy2078 381 Posted April 7, 2013 Those are some bad ass shoes!!!! I can't wait to go shopping! I have my regular dr appointment next Monday to have her write the letter of support. She is extremely conservative so I'm freaking out she will say no. I want this so bad and am so scared at the same time. Just the thought of being able to finally take advantage if the amazing sample sales (they mostly only go to size 8 - 10 of you are lucky) we have in NYC makes me so excited! Malexa03 18 Posted April 9, 2013 My primary care doctor doesn't even know I had the sleeve yet. My GYN wrote the support letter. I saw my regular doctor a few weeks before surgery for bronchitis and didn't tell her. When I mentioned it six months earlier she had a fit. Wait till I go in at three months and ask her to run my blood work. She is going to flip out. I am going to laugh. Always more than one way to skin a cat. 3 Ms.Pitts, ebonisekim and kenni reacted to this
