GinaB 3 Posted April 7, 2013 Hi all, I am scheduled to be sleeved on wed the 10th and woke up this morning with a slight sore throat. I am freaking out right now that I am going to really get sick and won't be able to have the surgery. I plan on calling first thing tomorrow they said to let them know about any high fever or cough but I don't want to chance anything!

CoreyCan 95 Posted April 7, 2013 Allergy season just started. I've been taking Claritin every day to make sure my allergies don't turn into anything worse i.e. sinus infection. You can take plain Claritin. Not Claritin D. Feel better
raggmopp68 7 Posted April 7, 2013 Same thing happened to me two weeks ago. I was told as long I didn't have a fever or cough, they would go ahead with the surgery. It never did turn into anything serious. Because of being under anesthesia, it was important that my lungs were clear for breathing. Load up on Vitamin C and get as much rest as possible. Good luck!! 1 Ms skinniness reacted to this

Abby2001 2 Posted April 8, 2013 I'm scheduled for my EGD on the 10th and my sleeve on the 15th. I went for my chest x-ray and blood work Friday. I had lost my voice. I "spoke" to the anesthesiologist for a few mins. He didn't seem to notice or comment. Hopefully my chest x-ray will be clear and I can move forward. I'm going liquid only Tuesday in the hopes that all will move forward.
