GinaB 3 Posted April 7, 2013 Hi all, I am scheduled to be sleeved on wed the 10th and woke up this morning with a slight sore throat. I am freaking out right now that I am going to really get sick and won't be able to have the surgery. I plan on calling first thing tomorrow they said to let them know about any high fever or cough but I don't want to chance anything!
makemyownluck 785 Posted April 7, 2013 Take some Vitamin C, Zinc, Echinacea and drink some tea... REST UP!! Don't let the sickness get you!! Hope you're feeling better soon and can still have surgery as planned!
petra1124 33 Posted April 7, 2013 Get this drink mix called Emergen-C and have a bunch of those till your surgery. They help a lot in relieving cold symptoms and building up your ammune system!! Good luck! I was sick this past week, still recovering and I have my pre surgery testing next week. Im nervous that my white blood count will be high, but one of the nurses that I work with said that after the first few days your white blood count goes back to normal.
