Afrodite82 148 Posted April 7, 2013 My figure is pear-shaped, meaning I carry my weight mostly in my hips, butt, thighs, and legs. I've been voraciously looking through photos on this site trying to find women who were shaped like me so that I can have a better idea of what I might be in for, but most of what I find is apple-shaped women with larger tummies and thin legs. To those of you out there who are (or were) pear shaped, do you find that you lose weight from those areas first? Do you still, essentially retain that general curviness or does it all go away ? And I'm smaller chested (a C), does that mean I'll end up an A cup? I know it's all very general, and what happens for one person may or may not happen for me, but I'm really curious as to what others experiences are in this arena. 1 aroundhky reacted to this
onelessfatgirl 103 Posted April 7, 2013 I'm interested in this too! I'm abt a month post op. I've lost all over but most noticeably in my torso. I'd like to lose in my thighs. :^/ We shall see what time will tell. 1 Afrodite82 reacted to this
Annie04 28 Posted April 7, 2013 I too am Pear Shaped. A lot of it is genetics. I'm Italian and come from a long line of pear shaped women. When I got married in 1983 I weighed 130 pounds and I was an extra small on top (probably a size 6 or 8) and I wore a size 10 or 12 pant or skirt. I don't think its a bad thing, its what makes us unique. I do want to make sure that I am in the best of shape when I get to my goal weight. I plan on exercising and maybe some weight training to firm and tone up. Hope this helps. 1 Afrodite82 reacted to this
TrophyWife 11 Posted April 7, 2013 we usually lose the weight that we gained last first. I lost a lot of weight a few years ago and I always joked that I felt light I was shimmying out of a fat suit and it got caught at my hips. I have always been pear shaped and working with a trainer really helped me tone the tummy and hip areas. But I had a really hard time getting rid of that hip/tummy area. i also was a C cup when i was younger and got up to a DD at my heaviest. I lost down to a D/C cup and very happy with my proportions. I think we are lucky and may lose less in our chest because of our smaller upper body. Thanks for great bra options and augmentation. 1 Afrodite82 reacted to this

BethinPA 305 Posted April 7, 2013 I am an apple, and I feel like I am losing top down/bottom up and getting stuck in the middle! 1 Museum-Mama reacted to this
AutumnPunkin 313 Posted April 8, 2013 I am a pear as well. I am still a c cup up top, but i am noticing as i gain weight, it is now going onto my belly. I have always had a smaller bust, and an even smaller waist, and a gazunga booty. I am reaching 320lbs now at 5'6" and my belly is gaining all the weight. In proportion though, my bust and waist is still tinier. My bust is 15" smaller than my hips and my waist is 20" smaller than my hips. I am really curious to see the results of this thread. I often wonder how little bust i will have left after i get the surgery. Unfortunately i am wait listed for another year and a half. . 1 Afrodite82 reacted to this

Wow! How far out from surgery are you? I love your pics, between one month to the next there was a drastic change. And you look great in the bathing suit. 1 Annie04 reacted to this
Afrodite82 148 Posted May 9, 2013 Oh and how is your skin, Kalimom, if you don't mind my asking? It looks so smooth and firm.
Kalimomof3 613 Posted May 10, 2013 I am 6 months out as of 5/7/13 HW 234 SW 218 CW 158 GW 130. My skin is ok I have the excess lower stomach skin from the weightloss plus I have had 3 c-sections so I had a flap to begin with. My inner upper thigh like right below v-jay territory (tmi?) has some excess wrinkly(idk wrinkly is right term?)skin. My arms are ok just a little looser in the skin than I'd like but I am doing exercises to see if it tightens up. 1 Annie04 reacted to this
Banned member 320 Posted May 13, 2013 I'm hourglass shaped. My hips are wide and I have large tatas lol. When I was at my highest weight my shape was very undefined but since I have shed 53 pounds my waist is definitely smaller and stomach flatter. My hips are still wide compared to waist. It I lift up my boobs I can see my ribs a little. Supposedly pear shaped people lose slower than apples. Even when I reach goal, I'm sure my hips will still be wide compared to my waist. My boobs will stay the same size because even at my smallest (size 8) I had DDD breast. They are definitely saggy and I know I will need a lift but I personally don't want a reduction and I've never lost weight in that department lol. If you are pear shaped you will remain pear shaped, same with apple and hourglass. 2 Kalimomof3 and Annie04 reacted to this

I think I lost a lot of volume in the first place breast feeding and now with the weight loss I am not so sure they are going to stick around. I am still buying a ddd but I feel it is a lot more skin than volume maybe it's age too?I am 33 . I wanted to add I would never have a reduction I like big tatas I may get a lift and some implants if they disappear on me a complete mommy makeover. 2 Annie04 and Banned member reacted to this
tessies 224 Posted May 13, 2013 I have had lap band in which I lost 200lbs in 14 months and then 7 yrs after I had my lap band it slipped and I had it removed and I was 7 weeks pregnant so they wouldn't revise so I gained 100lbs but I am now down 55lbs down after my revision. The first pic is me at 150-155 after my first weight loss the 2 nd is me 45lbs down after this weight loss. I am pear shaped also(yuck) but as you will see at 150 I look great. I am 5'8. 3 Annie04, Nursebarbie and cfountain reacted to this

I nursed all 3 of my kids for a year minimum and my boobs seemed to get larger :/ I'm a 36K right now but that's the new sizing system. I think a K is a DDDDD in the old system. The only thing going down has been the band size. I can totally relate to not getting a reduction lol. If I could stay a DD or DDD after a breast lift, I would be so happy. I don't want implants though because I think you have to get them changed every 10 yrs or something like that. I haven't had any back problems thankfully.
