Evolving 973 Posted April 7, 2013 I'm wondering if veterans ( those at least a few months out) that have been able to lose weight as some would consider quickly-- if you do a day that you have whatever u want-- chips, hummus, pizza, etc....... Reason I'm asking is I have a friend that was sleeved and she is maybe 6 mo out has lost over 100 and eats imo crappy lol fast food many times and chips cake etc--- Today I decided to try it all so to speak--I had an oz of chips and hummus for dinner and a stirfry for lunch and popcorn at the the movies--- this is the 1st time since being sleeved -- 2/25/13 I normally am at 400 or under and things like yogurt cottage cheese cheese eggs etc are my go to! So I guess in asking..... Is what i did today 'normal/healthy'? Is this a no no or is it something that is will stall me or be helpful to shock my system like cal/carb cycling... Thank you for finishing my long post lol Sent from my iPhone using VST
Mastiff_mama 171 Posted April 7, 2013 Be careful with the popcorn, that's super early be eating popcorn! The kernels and those husks can get caught in your staple line and cause issues! Major issues!
MrsG 329 Posted April 7, 2013 I don't necessarily have a day I commit to eating "bad things" but if I want something bad enuf I will have a bite. Right or wrong? Well I'm sure there are others who won't go there at all. My dr wants me to eat like a skinny person. A skinny person will have a bite of something if they want it. I will say that since surgery I haven't had cake. Not even a little bite. Cake is my gateway food so to speak. It would start me on a bad path of justification and I would only sabotage myself in the end. I mostly eat healthy, bad food is what got me where I am today and I'm really trying to change old habits. But thats not to say I have been to the movies and not had a few bites of popcorn I always track and account for anything that goes in my mouth. IMO you didn't do too bad today and the sleeve only let's you eat very little of anything anyway. Only you can decide for yourself. Is having one day that you eat bad and could return to old habits worth it? 1 Iniysa reacted to this
Iniysa 157 Posted April 7, 2013 I would be afraid that I would get right back into my old habits. If you want something have a bite, savor it, then go back to your new normal. 3 Afrodite82, ProudGrammy and MrsG reacted to this
