I stocked up the week before but don't go crazy thing that you like before the surgery might taste as good. Example my Calcium Gummy tasted way to sweet after the surgery. Now iam stuck with them.

Well, if you're feeling a bit antsy and want to do some prep work, how about going through your pantry and fridge and freezer? You could get roof of stuff that you won't want to be tempted by, or at least organize so that it would take more effort to get to the tempting stuff (put Snacks up high or behind more healthful choices.) Make room to store the foods and drinks you WILL need and make those the easy things to reach for.

If you haven't done so already, get some samples of the various Protein powders our there. Ideally, get a couple of each so that you can try some now and retest them after the surgery in case your tastes change. Make sure to get some unflavored Protein powder, too - it serves to allow you to put it in a savory broth in case you get tired of the sweet stuff during the liquid phases, plus you can use it to boost the Protein content of foods later if you're having problems getting enough protein in when you get to soft and solid foods.

If your NUT or doctor doesn't require a specific brand of Vitamins and supplements, do the research to figure out what your options are. Even if they don't have specific requirements I'll bet there are recommendations they would make, plus there are plenty of people here who have suggestions.

I'm already a bit anxious and impatient waiting until June before I really get back into the last round of appointments, so I've started doing some of this stuff myself :P

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.
