BethinPA 305 Posted April 6, 2013 So I am over 5 months out, and have lost 76 lbs, which I'm very happy about. But when I look in the mirror, I'm startled! It is uncomfortable. I look older, have wrinkles I never had before (I guess the fat/plumpness kept them visually at bay) and look mildly stressed all the time. Thats not how I imagined this! Those of you who are further along.....does your face sort of even out once the weight loss tapers off, or do you just become accustomed to your new look? I'm hoping to like the look of myself better in the future!
lilbearzmom 584 Posted April 6, 2013 I know what you mean. I feel like I might look older 88 pounds smaller. I think I look like a balloon that has been poked with a pin and has a slow leak- deflated, I always had a huge midsection and small rear end and small-ish legs. Of course, the belly fat is going to be the last to go. I keep waiting...LOL -Kendra 1 BethinPA reacted to this

mokee 588 Posted April 6, 2013 When I was 40 I started to use a Lancôme moisturizer, only after showers. Been using it for 25 years. Naturally the weight has come off of my ballon face I had but the wrinkles are at bay so far. Now my body is another thing. My neck also is showing my age. Oh well I am 66 what do I expect. At least I am down 62 lbs in 4 months. That is a good thing. 2 royalsecret and BethinPA reacted to this

My upper thighs and my upper arms make me wanna vomit. I dread the looser and looser skin. I'll never be able to afford plastics unless I marry a rich man lol 1 MrsG reacted to this
Not Applicable 52 Posted April 6, 2013 I got Restylane (filler) to my tear troughs (under my eyes) and to the nasal labial folds (the wrinkles from my nose to the corners of my mouth) to fill out some of the newly defined wrinkles I am seeing on my face! For me, it definitely helped. However, I am a receptionist at a plastic surgeon's office so thankfully I get reduced pricing for fillers & Botox. Off topic side note: it's not fun being the only morbidly obese person in a small plastic surgeon's office of 8 women (not including the doc) who are all size 6 & under. Especially when they complain at lunch about how fat they think they are.... If they at size 4 are fat, what does that make me???? Sigh.... (Please excuse my gripe). 1 BethinPA reacted to this

SerendipityHappens 1,594 Posted April 7, 2013 Ladies.. there comes a point in life where you must choose.. your face or your figure... Fat in the face really helps keep a youthful appearance. I'm HATING how my face is looking and I'm only 1/3 of the way into my journey... but I know that I have to take off the weight for my overall health. I'm loading up on night cream.. and day cream.. My neck is the worst.. where I used to have a regular double chin.. I now have a wrinkly old lady turkey gobble. 3 MrsG, MichiganChic and Ladydawg2009 reacted to this

I'm 50 and my skin looked good when it was all filled in, but now I'm starting to look 50....yikes! I'm not above a little rejuvination
