compass75 25 Posted April 6, 2013 Last night, I ate 4 boiled shrimp, one tiny bite of beef sausage and one bite of broccoli salad. It was too much and I ate way too fast. End result....I threw up. Afterwards, I felt like a human again. We were at a dinner party and I was just caught up in visiting with the others around me. I am still learning about taking 25-50 counts to chew before swallowing and taking at least 20 minutes to eat a meal. I was sleeved on 2/26 and am still learning. Down 41lbs though, so still happy. Mad at myself more than anything for overeating. 1 ISleevedIt reacted to this

pantala 125 Posted April 6, 2013 Thanks for posting this, I am just over a week out and I just know eating too fast (or slowing down rather) will be a challenge for me.
GeekyGamer 24 Posted April 6, 2013 I am 9 weeks out and still having a problem with eating too fast, but I am getting better and knowing how much i can handle. I have thrown up maybe 2-3 times from just eating too much, and taking a drink too soon after.
mvickyway 256 Posted April 6, 2013 I have always been known as a slow (but steapdy) eater and I still have to slow myself down and chew more. Hardest thing is to wait between bites 1 ISleevedIt reacted to this

ISleevedIt 380 Posted April 6, 2013 I have always been known as a slow (but steapdy) eater and I still have to slow myself down and chew more. Hardest thing is to wait between bites the waiting between bites is hard, but even harder is focusing on the food in my mouth. Sometimes i'm not thinking and before I know it, I've swallowed before thoroughly chewing my food and I immediately get discomfort where I have to wait a while or I take a papaya enzyme to help with the digestion.
