Has anyone has VSG after a c section? Did your body go back to normal or did you have extra skin?

I've not had a c section, but when I had the VSG done, the surgeon made five little incisions about 1/2" except the one where they pulled the stomach out, it was almost 1". So there were no "extra" skin. My body looked the same as before surgery with the exception of the 5 incisions.

Now depending on your age, race, and health, how quickly you lose weight, and amount of weight to lose, you may have extra skin after losing the weight.

I've had two csections only 2 years apart so I cant wait to see responses to this! I'm 23 so I'm hoping my age will help with my elasticity, but my stomach pretty much looks like a deflated yoga ball lol

I had a c-section 5 years ago and was sleeved on 3-20. I'm curious to know about this, too. I plan on exercising as soon as I can so hopefully I can tone up this flabby stomach skin!

I had a c-section about 7 years ago and was sleeved jan 17th. Because my baby was so big my poor tummy was stretched to the max. I have accepted that I will have to have a Tummy Tuck. I have had 3 kids and they got bigger each time. My first 2 were natural (6 pounds and 9 pounds) my last and c-section was 11pounds! So my tummy is a mess and I'm 31. I expect it to suck up some but not like I would want it. So under the knife for me.

I'm 54 and had 3 C-sections ('91, '93 and '99). The VSG surgeon said it was a non-issue for my procedure (std laparoscopic with 5 small incisions). The loose skin/panni apron is really there and not going anywhere without surgery. I've lost 90 pounds since 4/30/12.

I had two c sections, and so far I have lost 72 pounds. Unfortunately my skin does not have the elasticity needed to bounce back. I will have to have it removed but fortunately for me my province covers a Tummy Tuck for those who have had c sections and have an apron. I am on the wait list already :)

Just been waiting until time for my consult with my bariatric surgeon. It's scheduled for Jan 9th. Turns out I won't actually be seeing him. Apparently it'll be with his P.A.             Not sure what to expect. I thought this is where the surgeon would discuss the best surgery option for me. For years I had my heart set on the sleeve, but I've read so many people have issues with reflux - even if they've never had it before - that they've had to be revised to the bypass. I already deal with GERD & take 40 mg of Omeprazole daily, so I started studying about bypass and honestly, it seems like it might be the better choice for me. How can we discuss surgery options if the surgeon is not there?
What happened at your first consult? Trying to get an idea of what to expect, or maybe I should say, what NOT to expect.

I would like to know what questions you wish you had asked prior to your duodenal switch surgery?
