Chas74 56 Posted April 6, 2013 My surgery is the 10th and ive been reading post about people doing weeks of pre op liquid diet, my drs office didnt tell me nothing about that and all my paperwork said was just liquids day before surgery so now im freaking out! In order not to damage it, it has to be "fat free" and this is achieved by doing the pre-op diets. ( is what I have been told) I also understand that it prepares you for what's to come ???? I was worried since it seemed like I was the only one who didn't have a preop diet I lost 4 lbs the week before surgery but hadn't changed a thing.
