wesc04 6 Posted May 22, 2013 I was sleeved on May 15th..I can't believe I can actually say that. With reading some people's story' date=' I was a little concerned, not enough to discourage me, just a little concerned. Was released from hospital Friday afternoon and the last time I took any pain meds since the morning I left the hospital. I sleep well, have worked up to walking 30 mins today and can even sleep on my stomach. Just a little hard getting all fluids and Proteins in, but work real hard each and every day to improve. I have been truly blessed and pray every day for everyone on here![/quote'] Congrats and thanks for the prayers 1 MicaNicole reacted to this

Jen35 283 Posted May 22, 2013 my surgery is today and my anxiety is getting the best of me. I threw up twice last night ( sorry if TMI) I'm not so much worried about the surgery as I am the recovery. Not sure how bad the pain will be, etc. of course anxiety can have no real reason at all - last night I thought I was having a panic attack. not fun. well I'm off to get ready to leave for the hospital. Telling myself it will be ok. 1 Brenda0928 reacted to this

k8ee 131 Posted May 22, 2013 So I went to my two weeks post op today and I lost 23.6 pounds. It was a surprise since I decided not to weight until today. This including my pre op weight loss of 11 pounds. Wow! Congratulations! That must be do exciting for you. I have lost 6kg which is 13lb. I'm pretty happy with that do far. I'm still struggling with getting all my Protein in though. I'm current getting about 40g Protein a day. I find I'm having to have every meal now with high protein foods, but ill get there. I'm just worried about my hair!! 1 Brenda0928 reacted to this

Pammers Johnson 20 Posted May 22, 2013 I was sleeved on May 13. Doing great now, had more pain than I e pelted. Feel that I've got a hang of swallowing the right amount at a time. I'm wondering how much Protein the rest of you ate "supposed" to be getting and what's the realistic amount at 10-14 days pst op.
chardgrl 27 Posted May 22, 2013 I would like to hear from some of you about your experiences after you woke up from surgery. What happens during your stay in the hospitial...thx in advance.. I woke up in the recovery area. I was pretty groggy bc of the anesthesia but wasn't really in any pain. Just soreness from the incisions. I was pleasantly surprised with how good I actually felt. The only time I hit the morphine button was at night to help me sleep. My roommate and I have done so well we're being discharged tonight. My best advice to you is to sip, sip, sip and walk, walk, walk! You'll do fine!
