.....I'd say between my 6th and 7th month the amount and the hunger urges "up" themselves

(Pretty typical) and no it not because I didn't use my sleeve correctly and stretched it!.........

..........I can eat what seems like limitless amounts of crap food. cheese it's, sweets, chips, ..........

......I still have restriction on dense Proteins but I can definitely eat more! ........

I still measure my Protein and foods when having a meal because if I didn't I would eat more.

So yesterday when eating Turkey lunch meat I measured 3oz and 1 tablespoon of hummus but I could of eaten a lot more of that snack.< /p>

Yep, that's my experience too. I can eat a ton of crap but still have restriction on dense protein. I stick to max of three ounces of dense protein per meal so I have room for veggies and a little starch. I also still measure my foods. And I have to really watch the snacking and junk foods.

Wow,

I just read all the way through this and am amazed at the things I learned. I'm 7 months out now and yes, I'm a food addict. I've got 12 pounds to go to get to my Dr's goal weight. My Dr is a lot different from others. He believes in 3 meals a day with no Snacks. I try to make it every day BUT sometimes I just need a snack. I usually resort to tuna salad (with light mayo) or a dill pickle. I don't eat any more now than I did in the beginning. I do worry EVERY week (I weigh every Saturday) that my weight loss is going to stop because it just doesn't seem real that I'm actually going to keep losing and actually reach a goal. I try to look on the bright side of things normally. But for some reason can't wrap my head around the fact that this is working. So it's kind of a little surprise each week when I keep losing. I LOVE MY SLEEVE!!

Laura,

I enjoy this site so much. I don't have a NUT or anyone to go to exception Dr. so this is where I've gotten most of my information from. I really love this site and love all of the different opinions on things. The ONE thing that I'd like to pass along that I always taught my children when they were younger is "Concentrate on the good things in life. If you concentrate on them and think about them, you'll always have happiness in your life. If you concentrate on the negative, your negative thoughts will influence your life first". I've been through ups & downs, deaths and etc. and this outlook has helped me tremendously. I hope it helps others as well.

I can cook my a off so I'm told. It's my mothers fault. I love good food! Thyroid problems yeah but I will keep it real... It's food ADDICTION!

Oh did I mention my mom has never broken 100 pounds her entire life? I'm adopted so I've always had to use extra effort to keep my weight down.

Soooo frustrating!!!!

Love Destin!! Too cold in Jan and Feb but will be there at a resort in March. I can still only eat about 2 oz of Protein at a meal like half of a burger (ground sirloin), less than half a chicken breast, etc. Crackers go down easily.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
