Nicolanz 1,484 Posted April 29, 2013 When I look at all the postings talking about being addicted to food' date=' I just get so angry at our food industry and how they process foods with high fats, sugars, and salt. The old mighty buck has contributed to the majority of obesity in our country today.... So sad..... I have been pretty good about staying away from these things by staying with foods from the earth with very little processing but find myself looking for the sweet taste of sugar. went on vacation and ate out most of the time and those foods are highly contaminated with all the processes out there...... Time for me to get back to eating just the basics.......... (sighhhhhhhhhhh)[/quote'] Amen, sistah!!!!!!!!! 1 Ms skinniness reacted to this
Bmarion662 76 Posted April 29, 2013 Please also take into consideration that some overweight people are not so much an addict as their bodies crave more food for energy as it takes more food to support. Cycle effect more weight more food more weight. 1 Ms skinniness reacted to this

jenny2013 2 Posted June 4, 2013 Did I get your attention??? Ok' date=' curiosity... when I answer posts here, I am always coming from a perspective of a "food addict" But many times I have people write back... "But I don't have an addiction to food" Which I always think to myself YEAH RIGHT! Don't beat me up I'm being honest!! What can I say I'm pessimistic, I also laugh when people say they don't eat TO MUCH so they don't understand how the are fat.. I AM FAT BECAUSE I EAT LIKE A PIG (alone mostly) Today I thought about, "what if I'm wrong?" I mean...I am me and I am addicted, how do I know how the next person is??? I'm curious as an addicted fat person how is it for those of you who are not addicted? Oh and on a side note if I am wrong, then I'm also jealous because I would give anything not to have this problem (addiction)[/quote'] it just blows me away how "perfect" some of the journeys have been for different ones...hmm! 1 Ms skinniness reacted to this

LipstickLady 25,682 Posted June 17, 2013 But on that note I'm still curious about the People that say they don't have addictions to food, And are fat (and not because of medical problems) and are getting this surgery. I'm with you. It's baffling to me to think that those who "don't eat much" and have "medical problems" will have much success with this surgery. This procedure limits your intake, it doesn't solve any other issue. How can this WLS suddenly be a miracle fix to thyroid problems or PCOS if you are already eating the right things in the right quantity. Or, if it works for the first 6 months or so, will all the weight be gained back once your stomach is healed and you can ingest more than a few ounces? 2 Ms skinniness and Butterthebean reacted to this
