When I woke this morning to ready my kids for school, I was fine. I layed back down for an hour and took a nap. When I woke up I turned from laying on my side to lay on my back...the room started to spin! I closed my eyes and still felt the spin then after a minute it stopped. A few minutes later I turned on my side again and the room spun again. I waited and it stopped. Then when I slowly got from a laying down position to sit up, the room started spinning again :(. Since then I am taking it slow because I am feeling nervous about this. I'm not feeling sick or having any aches or pains but don't know what cause this. I was sleeved March 19th. Can anyone relate or have any input? Thank you

Sounds like it could be vertigo.

Don't know when your surgery was or what your fluid/nutrient intake is ... so its difficult to answer you.

The same thing happened to me a few months after my surgery, I am 5 months out (Nov.1,2012) I went back to see the doctor and he said that I needed to up my intake a salt. I did that and was better with a week. I have since cut back on the salt and have not had any more problems.

sounds like positional vertigo. Based on the position....When I first got it , I was in Vegas....It was caused by flying. In your ear... Just picture a little bag full of little pieces of sand....sometimes one falls out. and causes unbalance (vertigo) Whenever I am about to get a cold... and experience swelling in my ears and it causes it to act up. Also not enough water...or too much salt....Don't panic. It feels horrible but not serious. I went to a dr one time who taught me a roll around exercise, I could do on the bed to try and put that little piece of sand back in the bag of my ear-sounds nuts but he was a specialist and it works!

Had the same thing happen to me today - went to the doc and she said my body is just adjusting to everything... My BP is typically low anyway, and today it was lower than usual. She said it's partially due to the rapid loss (21 lbs @ 10 days out) and not getting quite enough fluids in. Resting up today and taking it easy - and really trying to push the fluids.

I would guess blood pressure. If it's dehydration your urine should appear very dark.

I also had this about 2-3 weeks out. My blood pressure was low so my doctor adjusted my meds. When I mentioned to my surgeon at my post-op visit he said it could have been my BP or dehydration. Since my meds had been adjusted, I have not had the problem; until recently. My physical is Tuesday, so I'll mention it then. I know I am not dehydrated.

I'm almost 3.5 weeks out. And occasionally have that "room is spinning" feeling. Today was one of those days. I had to come home from work. Drinking slowly and resting--starting to feel normal. Can't identify any single reason why that "dizzy" feeling comes and goes-and would love to have a common denominator to be able to STOP it-but haven't a clue. But reading this thread-I will definitely look for Fluid intake, B/P, and food intake. Thanks.

This happens to me too but for different reasons than I see listed here. If I eat something that disagrees with me I will begin to feel dizzy and weak. It doesn't happen any other time. It's very strange. I know within a few minutes if a particular food is going to be off limits because the dizziness sets in pretty quickly and my heart rate increases for no reason.

Hi, I’m new here. I’m currently on the liver shrinking diet. So far so good, but I have to say I haven’t found a protein shake I like. Anyone have any suggestions please? My surgery date is September 17th.

Fairlife Core are by far the best. They taste just as they are - chocolate milk. You can either get the 26 grams or the 42 grams (harder to find and more expensive). For straight protein look at Bulksuppliments.com ..they have really good whey proteins and offer auto ship plus they test for purity. No taste or smell...

Fairlife has strawberry, vanilla and of course chocolate. No more calories than other protein drinks. Stay away from Premiere, they're dealing with lawsuits due to not being honest about protein content.
