Had my first surgeons appt this morning. The PA tells me "your insurance doesn't cover the sleeve"...I thought I'd been punched in the face. To make a long story short I met with the surgeon asked him all my sleeve questions. Then I came home and called my insurance with the billing code and IT'S COVERED!!!! My plan must be the exception! I was so upset i could barely hold it together in the dr office when I though I couldn't get the sleeve. So stressful! But good news overall. And what a list of preop tests! Holy moly! I don't even know where to start!

slow down bud :)

need to find my sunglasses :D

your excitement is shining right through my computer screen :)

actually, i just had to turn the volume down on my monitor!!

sorry you had to go through a period of stress, feeling that the sleeve wasn't covered by your insurance

yes, there are a lot of hoops to jump through before you can get your approval for WLS

all the hoops are worth it!!!!!

pre-op tests galore, yep we've all been there, done that :)

this too shall pass :)

you are on your way to a healthier, happier, longer life with the sleeve :)

good luck :)

Had a sleeve in 2017, lost over 100 pounds. Had a DS surgery this year (2025) for more sustainable weight loss. 🤞

The 14th was my day. I am home and recovery is going pretty smooth. They even let me walk out of the hospital. Picture of me in recovery curtesy of my boyfriend lol.

Neat you have a pic of this day! I was sooo happy to get my surgery. It was well worth it! And I'm not even near my goal. I had surgery Dec. 2!
