bringiton 68 Posted April 5, 2013 Anyone else? Lol I notice that I will make my dinner, lets say a 3 oz turkey party, assuming its small and Ivan eat it no problem. I am so wrong! Lol I could only eat about half and am feeling over filled. I've done this a few times. For now on, only an ounce on my plate at a time lol Sent from my iPhone using VST 4 ProudGrammy, T'snewstart, minimii and 1 other reacted to this
It'sNowOrNever 100 Posted April 5, 2013 Yes! I say the food police steps in and stops the party. Lol 1 ProudGrammy reacted to this
joatsaint 2,814 Posted April 5, 2013 Me too. I made the mistake of switching to a 1 cup size bowl from a 4oz. and I knew right off I had made a mistake. Nice isn't it? 2 ProudGrammy and rosehips reacted to this
sharonintx 1,275 Posted April 5, 2013 Me too. Today I ordered a kid's baked potato and a kid's turkey sandwich from Jasons Deli. What a moron I am. I was able to eat 1/2 of the sandwich minus one piece of bread. The other half and the potato are in the refrigerator.
banditchic 83 Posted April 5, 2013 I am totally with you! I do really good with my portions at Breakfast and lunch. But at dinner I seem to put an extra spoonful on my plate and end up eating it, and feeling stuffed, and mad at myself. Then I worry that I stretched my sleeve, etc.... I am really going to try to focus on amounts at dinner time.
rosehips 121 Posted April 5, 2013 Oh yea, I love leaving food on my plate. I think it is part of the new mentality we are striving for. Because I feel awful if I eat too much, I watch for the feeling & stop. No more clean plate club for me. it has definitely been a journey on this. Four months into this I was out to dinner, real expensive & w/ family. I took 2 appetizers but after one I knew I needed to wait for my "real entree" to come. I literally had to whisper to my husband "is it OK if I don't eat the 2nd one?". I had never not ate everything I put on my plate. 1 ProudGrammy reacted to this
skinnywithin 23 Posted April 5, 2013 TELL ME ABOUT IT!!! lol. Ive been doing this allot latley. I make 2 eggs for breakfast and can only eat 1/2 of one, I make a sandwich and make it normally with two slices of healthy bread, etc, you know. and im lucky if I can eat 1/4 of it. I recently went to a restaurant and ordered steak and salad. I got down 2 bites of steak and I bite of salad. the rest is in a take out container in my fridge. (which Im still eating two days later lol) So yes I can totally relate! lol its great though
Heather86 :o) 29 Posted April 5, 2013 I'm a little over 4 months out and have noticed myself doing this lately, too. I've been trying to get a grip on it and only put 3 oz of Protein on my plate. I can usually eat it all, but not always. When I can't, it seems like I want to try to eat it and end up regretting it within a minute. I wish I could forget how to clean my plate, lol.
