so, i've dropped some weight and the people at work are making fun (in a joking way) of how my clothes are looking...

i broke down and bought a few dresses from LB online. i figured i'd order them small and i will shrink into them.

it fits ... in fact, it is roomy.

i went from a 6x :embarassed: to a 3x ... OMG!!!!

Good job. Isn't it exciting when you go down a size! I went down to a size 22 and I'm very happy. Now I'm looking at 20s. Good luck!

Hi!

My big NSV- I bought a sweater at a normal, everyday store the other day!!! It is a n X-L, but still it felt great. My new jeans are a 16P (plus which is bigger than a regular 16).

So... I am thrilled and motivated to keep it going!!!

That is so awesome that is a huge difference. Congratulations to you!

Would be nice to start a clothing swap. I mean I am already down a size as well. I am going to keep wearing them because I hate to buy clothes when I know they too will have to be replaced!

Yikes, they cost so much but I guess when the grocery bill drops there is room for more shopping. Too bad for me I have a hubby and step child that eat thier body weight daily so it really just means that they eat more of what I would have eaten! So sad!

Two months out from hiatal hernia repair.  Surgeon said to expect a lot more flatulence...something about the 'air' no longer being able to 'burp' out so comes out the other end.  That is my experience but have no understanding of why that swallowed air cannot be 'burped'. ???

As I understand it since your stomach is smaller and not completely resting against your diaphragm anymore you no longer have the ability to "push" burps out as well. Plus, since its smaller and we don't digest slower the trapped air moves a lot quicker out of the stomach so its no longer available to burp out. Hence the other option for removal.

Me too girl!! Are you in the full liquid diet right now? It’s sooooo hard!

      2. LadyVeteran1

Not yet. I was told I only have to do 24 hours of a liquid diet. But I have my pre-op tomorrow so I’m going to confirm if I need to do longer.

Down 33 lbs and slightly stalled, but I'm gonna reevaluate and push through. I started back to work last week after 2 years of being disabled due to mental health as well as my weight. It's a great job and I'm just so happy to have this opportunity at a second chance at life. Hope everyone is having their best journey ❤️ Together, we got this!
