Biotin - any success stories?

I'm 67 and already have very thin hair. Don't get sleeved until July. Very concerned about Hair loss as you can already see my scalp in places. I bought Biotin, but didn't know what dosage to take. I'm seriously considering a wig until I figure out what will happen.

My dermatologist recommended minoxidil, but he also told me to keep in mind that once you start it, it's for life. If you stop it, you will lose the new growth and your hair would return to the pattern loss your trying to stop. I didn't want that kind of commitment so I went with the Biotin.< /p>

i started taking the same dosage as you of Biotin right after surgery (info from this board)

my hairdresser noted that the top of my head/hair was thinning "alittle"

nothing much - unfortunately i have VERY thin hair

my daughter has lovely thick curly hair

we want to trade places with each other
