Shrinkingmom 218 Posted April 3, 2013 I was sleeved July 17, 2012 and I have a really weird question. Has anyone else had a problem with nose running most of the time? I got contacts not long after my sleeve and thought maybe that was the issue but then heard someone on here mention that their nose ran a lot. Just curious because at times it can be very annoying. I am a nurse and can not think of a reason this would happen but who knows? Thanks for helping my curiosity!!

mokee 588 Posted April 3, 2013 I would think you both have developed an allergy of some sort. It has never happened to me.

FishingNurse 1,211 Posted April 3, 2013 Same no allergies here, my surgeon said this is common! 1 DrmBig4Evr reacted to this
Shrinkingmom 218 Posted April 3, 2013 Well, now that you say that... it is not constant and is mostly around eating but does happen at other odd times such as when I get up in the morning. That is very interesting that others have this as well. I know it is crazy but as a nurse, you know I was wondering if I had a serious issue! Lol! You know nurses can never just have a cold, it has to be pneumonia, and every pain is something serious like cancer! LOL! We know enough to drive ourselves crazy but not enough to fix it! Thanks for the input so far and I also know it is not an allergy just by the way it acts.

LOL My uneducated guess is that a nerve is getting pressure that doesn't usually get touched, just my guess though. lol 1 Shrinkingmom reacted to this
joatsaint 2,814 Posted April 3, 2013 I get it too, after eating and 1st thing when I wake up. I didn't really notice it at first - until I saw a question about it on here. Then I started noticing how often it was happening.
Mrs Havelock 154 Posted April 3, 2013 It could also be post nasal drip - caused by stomach acid irritating the back of your throat and nose.
DrmBig4Evr 152 Posted April 3, 2013 No clue why, but yes mine does too.

Izuri 428 Posted April 3, 2013 If you ever figure out what it is, let me know. My nose runs all the time, especially at work. It drives me absolutely batty. I have tried allergy meds and nothing seems to help it.
