Abrash... I don't know that they've changed monthly but they have since the surgery. I used to love Fiji Water and now I hate it and don't like Water plain either. I also like the premier Protein shakes from costco a lot more now than I did before surgery. unjury tasted great before and now not so much. Oh! And I now cannot stand propel zero or g2! I can only handle Powerade zero. Vitamin water zero is hideous to me! And I have no desire to eat sugar a

So my own tastes have changed. Yours might too. I have a bunch of propel zero I am feeding to my kids now because I tried to stock up lol

Sent from my iPhone using VST

This is good to know... glad I have a nine year old to help me get rid of stuff I won't like.. I love Fiji I hope that won't change :-) :'(

My doc is rather rigid for after surgery consumption. Doesn't want anything at all with Fiber for the first 3 weeks. So I am stocking up on nectar sampler packs and sticking to the plain vanilla before surgery so I don't bore my taste buds before I hit the long hall. For those like me that have to do the shake regime for weeks, you might want to consider picking up sugar free Torani Syrup.

I've got sugar free versions of vanilla, peppermint, orange, caramel and hazelnut so I can make more complex flavors.

Orange syrup + vanilla Protein = creamsicle

peppermint+ chocolate protein= peppermint patty

etc.

Day 1 of pre-op liquid diet (3 weeks) and I'm having a hard time already. I feel hungry and just want to eat. I got the protein and supplements recommend by my program and having a hard time getting 1 down. My doctor / nutritionist has me on the following:
1 protein shake (bariatric advantage chocolate) with 8 oz of fat free milk 1 snack = 1 unjury protein shake (root beer) 1 protein shake (bariatric advantage orange cream) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein bar 1 protein shake (bariatric advantace orange cream or chocolate) 1 snack = 1 unjury protein soup (chicken) 3 servings of sugar free jello and popsicles throughout the day. 64 oz of water (I have flavor packets). Hot tea and coffee with splenda has been approved as well. Does anyone recommend anything for the next 3 weeks?

All I can tell you is that for me, it got easier after the first week. The hunger pains got less intense and I kind of got used to it and gave up torturing myself by thinking about food. But if you can, get anything tempting out of the house and avoid being around people who are eating. I sent my kids to my parents' house for two weeks so I wouldn't have to prepare meals I couldn't eat. After surgery, the hunger was totally gone.

I have my final approval from my insurance, only thing holding up things is one last x-ray needed, which I have scheduled for the fourth of next month, which is my birthday.
