LifeBackNye7 44 Posted April 3, 2013 Hello Everyone.. I have been on this page previously under a similar name LifeBackNye.. I couldn't remember my password so I am here again LifeBackNye7. I remember stalking the forums when I was at the begining stages of this process. I would go back and forth during my journey and happy to say that I was sleeved yesterday! The first night was very hard for me. a lot of gas pains! Wow never thought I would be able to live through so much pain. My doctor also removed my gallbladder and fixed a hernia so I have had a lot more pain then others may have had. Passed my leak test, very excited about that. Have been up walking around and boy did thst help. I was sleeved in NJ by Dr. Noyan.. great doctor. Just very happy to be here. Thanks for listening! 4 coloradogrl, Ms skinniness, LOVE4JEH and 1 other reacted to this
LisaT678 225 Posted April 3, 2013 Congratulations! Your on the losing side now. I wish my Dr. had taken my gallbladder. I am looking at surgery again here soon to take my gallbladder. Didn't even know I had gallstones until recently. I had my sleeve done Dec. 6, 2012 so I'm 4 mos post-op. 2 Lori Dempsey and Ms skinniness reacted to this
Ms skinniness 3,003 Posted April 3, 2013 Congrats! At least they were able to do the other two repairs when they had you open. I just recently had my gallbladder taken out and it was a piece of cake.... No problems, no soreness, and no pain.........Thank goodness for that... 1 TES reacted to this
LifeBackNye7 44 Posted April 3, 2013 Hey Lisa! Thanks for responding! My PC actually ordered the ultrasound of my gallbladder due to my bp and cholesterol. The results showed I had gallstones. I then callef my surgeon and he said he would remove it during my surgery! I was a bit surprised as I fiqured getting the sleeve would be enough pain to deal with but after looking into somw statistics, it showed that about 20% of patients that have some type of WLS have to also get their gallbladder removed. I see you are 4 months out! ????How has your recovery been? How many pounds have you lost?

That's over 10 lbs a month.
